I've been home for just about a week now and it's crazy how time flies, yet it feels like it was weeks ago that I was worry-free, not looking for a job, and livin' up my last few weeks on the island. These pictures sum up our last few weeks in Taiwan, enjoy!
On our way to the beach, we took a day-trip down about 4 hours down the east coast and of course found the best beach our last weekend!
It was kind-of-ironic, we saw some people from our ward and they let us borrow some boogie boards so we took advantage of the tiny waves that Taiwan had to offer. Seriously, smalled waves ever, you'd think an island would have more to offer. Our last week, we went with Britton's lao shi (teacher) and her family to see her Buddhist temple. It had a beautiful garden and was green everywhere!
This is the Buddha of babies. She kept trying to get me to rub it, which means....bring on the babies. But I decided just to point at it instead;)
Dinner with an investigator of B's while on the mish. He is the nicest guy.
My last day of school. It was kind of bittersweet because I don't know the next time I will be in a classroom. I don't know why I have such an attachment to school. Help me!Bowling with the Lin family. As you can tell, we went to the beach that day and all got burnt to a crisp. Lets just say, the flight wasn't the funnest home.
Jimmy Tai. A good friend of B's came over our last night to keep us company as we packed and got ready to go.
As for now, life is still quite simple. I feel like a stay-at-home mom without any kids. I need a job pronto. I've never had a full-time job in my life but I am actually looking forward to it. Since China is in the distant future, it'll be fun to be busy until then. Well have a good day and farwell Taiwan.
