Goodbye October, Hello November

October has been good to me. I visited North Carolina, celebrated my birthday, went to the Mason Jennings Concert, and Halloweened it up.

The Highlights:
Mason Jennings at his finest. He was so good live!

Another one was Halloween. It was pretty fun this year. Unfortunately we didn't get a single picture of our costumes but I was a 50's house wife and Britton was a 50's businessman. He looked super fly with his hair slicked to the side and suspenders. Maybe I should have been born in that era? :)

The Lowlights:
We didn't carve a single pumpkin this year...what is wrong with us?

I was a little disappointed with myself for my birthday this year because I had this grand idea (that I got from Pinterest) to do "23 (I turned 23) Little Random Acts of Kindness" and I only got half way through. My new tradition is to do this every year and eventually have my kids help me with it. Hopefully then I will actually complete it.  This is what I accomplished:

  1. Made breakfast for my husband.
  2. Took Britton to school so he didn't have to ride his bike.
  3. Offered a stranger a ride to school.
  4. Run an errand for someone.
  5. Emailed grandma to let her know I love her.
  6. Packed Britton a lunch with a sweet note inside.
  7. Contacted a family member I haven't talked to in awhile.
  8. Held the door open for everyone I saw.
  9. Picked up Britton from school.
  10. Called parents to tell them how much I love them.
  11. Did Temple work for 5 individuals (this counts for 11-15)
Too bad I didn't turn 15 this year or I would have been right on the money! Oh well, there's always room for improvement.

Bye October, thanks for being so good to me.
Hello November, I know you will.

Heather!! I know I am fired for not saying happy birthday to my dear girl Heather AGAIN... but! I will not take away the credit that I absolutely remebered!! haha My phone has been dead (my charger will not charge it anymore!:() so I haven't had access to the outside world for almost 4 weeks now, this weekend it finally stayed on long enough for me to try to send a text and call my mom. I am so sorry I didn't call but I hope you know I was thinking about you and put a post-it on my fridge:) Love you, so happy you had a good birthday. We will be there for Christmas... what do you say for a belated birthday bash... wild status!?! haha Im not kidding either.

Love you and a happy belated (but not forgotten) birthday! Love you!
